The Merry family
Discover the Merry family’s story with various anecdotes of their daily life throughout the 19th century. Today considered as Magog’s founding family, the Merrys actively contributed to the city’s economic and social development. In French only.

Immerse your family in the depths of Magog's history and discover our ancestors’ way of life by manipulating artefacts and learning the basics of archaeology. Not recommended for children 5 years and under.
Workshops offered continuously to families on weekends. Inquire at the reception for interpreter-guides' availability.
The Setller's Challenges
Put yourself in the shoes of the first settlers and take up three challenges, inspired by the Merry family's daily life upon their arrival in Magog. Using the provided materials, create an object to catch fish, build a temporary shelter and knit mittens to keep you warm. A total immersion in the 19th century.

At the Merry House we were inspired by the spring break. We decided to create 3 online historical quizzes, one for each day: archaeology (March 3), human and animals (March 4), Aboriginals in the Eastern Townships (March 5). What a chance to challenge your knowledges and learn more! So take your cell phone or tablet and be ready!

March 8: special quiz for special women
Through this quiz, discover the history of women in Quebec and the Eastern Townships. What did women's daily lives look like in the last few centuries? Who are the famous women of the region? What events have marked the history of women? All of this will help us better understand the evolution of women's rights in Quebec and the process that led to the current achievements.
